The environment is important to some, but to others the environment is not a concern. People that care about the Environment, Global Warming, and Climate Change are aware and respectful of future generations well being, but there are those that just care about themselves, continuing to pollute and consume the earths treasures withouot regard for preservation. People seem to go on and do what they havve been doing for years, as this is their "rythm" or "routine". Hopping in your V8 Car or Truck to drive 1-2 blocks to the store to get some soda, and then driving back home in the same fasion. It is pretty pathetic, actually.
I don't want to group everyone together in one category, as that would strip any validity I once had, if any, from me with such a broad generalization, but there is definitely a majority of people not doing anything to improve. These people need to be focused upon by the media, their peers, and family if they are obviously not aware. Spongebob Squarepants displays a great satirical approach to displaying the Misconceptions about Global warming. Leave it to Good Ol' Spongebob Squarepants to teach the children this message. Most parents don't, so someone has got to. If everyone; Democrat, republican, gay, straight, Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Black, White, American, Chinese, European, etc., cared like Spongebob Squarepants, then the world would be a much better place to live, and future generations will be able to see the Green grass and plush forrests for many years to come. Without awareness and prevention, the world will not be around for anyone to enjoy, because selfish, and oblivious human-beings are not smart enough to see the effects and deterioration of climate change and global warming. Preach the good word...of Environmentalism.
